WARNING:
The State of Illinois requires that all course of study for the licensed home inspector include a one day lab. As you research the school/training that best suits your schedule make sure that the education includes the one day lab at a location that you can attend. I have had calls from prospective Illinois students that have taken their course of study on line and then found out that they cannot attend the one day lab in South Dakota, Nevada, California, etc. The Home Inspection Pre-Qualification School offers the one day lab each month on the third Monday.
